Young Indian grappler Kavin Kopperunko made the nation proud by winning the Gold medal at the prestigious ADCC Amateur World Championship 2025 held in Warsaw, Poland.
Competing in the 13-14 Years, 40 kg category, Kavin showcased excellent technique and determination throughout the tournament. In the semifinals, he secured a victory over his opponent from Israel by scoring takedown points. He went on to dominate the finals, where he submitted his opponent from Austria with a well-executed armbar.
The ADCC (Abu Dhabi Combat Club) Championship is one of the most respected grappling tournaments in the world, known for its high level of competition. Kavin’s victory at such a young age highlights his promising future in the sport.
Kavin continues to train under elite Dagestani coaches at Dagestan Top Team Dubai and JSJ Academy Dubai, further strengthening his foundation in both wrestling and jiu-jitsu.
