Indian Boxing Stars Set to Compete at Super Fighter Series in Bangkok

The Super Fighter Series, an international professional boxing event, will take place on February 7, 2025, in Bangkok, Thailand. Organized by Crown Boxing Promotions in partnership with Grassroot Boxing Promotions, the event promises an action-packed night featuring top-tier boxers from around the world.

Among the international talent, three of India’s top professional boxers will compete at the event, representing their country on the global stage.

Indian Contenders

Laldinsanga vs. Sarawut Jiamthong
Laldinsanga, a 22-year-old boxer from Mizoram, enters the bout undefeated with a record of 9-0. He currently holds the number 1 spot in India's bantamweight division and recently claimed the WBC Youth World Championship. Laldinsanga faces Thailand’s Sarawut Jiamthong in a crucial matchup to further his global ranking and establish himself as a future world champion.

Sabari Jaishankar vs. Rattakorn Tassaworn
Chennai’s Sabari Jaishankar, the reigning WBC Middle East and WBC Australasia Champion, will take on Thailand’s seasoned professional Rattakorn Tassaworn. With an 11-3 record, Sabari is ranked #2 in India’s weight division. Known for his relentless pace and sharp counterpunching, Sabari is set to showcase his skills on the international stage.

Vanlalawmpuia vs. Supachat Sukonthamanee
Mizoram’s Vanlalawmpuia, with a record of 10-3-1, is making a name for himself in international boxing. Known for his aggressive fighting style, he has faced competitors from Australia, Uganda, and Thailand. Vanlalawmpuia will meet Thailand’s Supachat Sukonthamanee in a high-energy bout that promises to be a thrilling contest for boxing fans.

A Global Boxing Spectacle
The Super Fighter Series is expected to deliver a dynamic mix of international boxing styles as fighters from across the globe compete. Grassroot Boxing Promotions, a key force behind the development of Indian boxing, has played a vital role in bringing Indian talent to the international stage. The event marks a significant milestone for Indian boxers, providing them with global exposure.

Grassroot Boxing Promotions founder, Mujtaba Kamal, emphasized the importance of events like the Super Fighter Series in developing fighters. “Our goal has always been to build fighters from the grassroots level and shape them into world champions,” Kamal said.

Crown Boxing Promotions founder, Payam Honari, highlighted India’s growing boxing talent. “India has incredible talent, and we aim to build super fighters from this region who can take on the best in the world,” Honari said.

As the Super Fighter Series approaches, all eyes will be on the Indian boxers as they step into the ring to make their mark on the global boxing scene.
