India delivered an exceptional performance at the 2024 U-18 GAMMA MMA World Championships in Indonesia, securing three gold medals and finishing third in the overall medal tally. The event, held at the Dewa MMA Arena in Banten, saw young Indian athletes rise to the occasion, showcasing their immense talent on the global stage.

The Golden TrioAjna Amith, Hosam Londa, and Basil Punathil – played a pivotal role in India’s success at the championships. Ajna Amith clinched the gold medal in the U-10 girls -26kg division with a dominant first-round submission. Basil Punathil followed suit in the U-14 Boys -54kg category, securing the top spot with a brilliant performance. Hosam Londa rounded out the gold medal haul for India, winning the U-16 Boys -46kg division, further solidifying India's position as a powerhouse in youth MMA.

India’s overall performance was impressive, with the country finishing third in the medal table, surpassing Kazakhstan and showcasing the nation’s growing influence in the global MMA scene. The country earned a total of three golds, two silvers, and one bronze, with notable performances from athletes across different age groups.

Other standout performances included Mishty Pandya, who won a silver medal in the U-10 girls -38kg division, and Shivam Saha, who earned a silver medal in the U-12 Boys -34kg category. Korouhenba Urungpurel also brought home a silver medal in the U-14 Boys -50kg division. Additionally, Lusiya Tana made an impact by securing a bronze medal in the U-18 Girls -52.5kg division.
