Drake has placed a sizable wager on Jorge Masvidal and Israel Adesanya finishing out the competition at UFC 287.

On Saturday, the hip-hop star's bets with the cryptocurrency sportsbook Stake were made public by MMA Orbit. $1.4 million is on the line when Adesanya takes on Alex Pereira and Masvidal battles Gilbert Burns. Stake is funding Adesanya and Burns.

In UFC 281, Adesanya defeated Pereira for the middleweight championship, which he aims to reclaim, while Masvidal faces former welterweight title contender Burns in an effort to end a three-fight losing streak.

Drake has bet a whopping $400,000 on Adesanya winning the fight via KO and $500,000 on Adesanya winning the fight. Meanwhile, as for Masvidal, he has bet $200,000 on Masvidal winning via KO and $300,000 on Masvidal winning the fight.

You can see the potential payouts below.

  • Adesanya via KO: $400,000 to win $1,840,000
  • Adesanya win: $500,000 to win $885,000
  • Masvidal via KO: $200,000 to win $1,720,000
  • Masvidal to win: $300,000 to win $1,410,000

Despite having a losing record versus Pereira in the kickboxing ring and cage, Adesanya is a slight favourite to defeat Pereira, with odds of roughly -100. Masvidal, on the other hand, is a far riskier wager because he is typically at least a +300 underdog.

After Masvidal lost a decision to competitor Colby Covington, "Gamebred" reportedly lost $275,000 in cryptocurrency to Drake, who is no new to spending a lot of money on his favourite MMA fighters.

Apparently, Drake also lost $2 million as a result of Adesanya's defeat to Pereira at UFC 281. He will more than makeup for that deficit with a take of $5,855,000 if successful at UFC 287.
