Chingiz Allazov, the reigning ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion, reflected on his recent title defense and opened up about the physical and mental challenges he faced during the championship rounds.

After successfully defending his title, Allazov revealed that he experienced moments of exhaustion and struggled to maintain focus throughout the intense fight. Personal matters weighed heavily on his mind, even causing doubts about participating in the match just days before the event. However, with the guidance of his coach, Allazov managed to regain his focus and delivered a signature performance, solidifying his position as the champion once again. Looking back on the victory, he acknowledged that the day of the fight was indeed his moment to shine.

“After the first round, I didn’t have the focus to fight. I don’t know why. My mind was not focused on fighting. I was thinking about some personal things. Two days before the fight, I was thinking maybe I wouldn’t fight. My heart felt this was a big problem. Before the Superbon and Sitthichai fights, I had a lot of power but last week I had a hard time. I knew I needed this fight. My coach told me to only focus on my opponent and we won this fight. Today was my day,” he said.

When discussing his skill level and potential opponents, Allazov exuded confidence in his abilities. Standing among the pound-for-pound rankings' top fighters in his category, including Superbon, Sitthichai, and Grigorian, Allazov proudly emphasized that he has emerged victorious against each of these formidable competitors. Recognized as one of the world's best strikers, he expressed his desire for a dream fight against the esteemed Giorgio Petrosyan, an opportunity he hopes to seize with the help of divine support.

Despite his championship success and undeniable talent, Allazov remained humble and expressed respect for his fellow athletes, including Grigorian, Superbon, and Sitthichai. While he contemplated the possibility of this being his last fight, he remains uncertain about his future in the sport. Allazov intends to take time to relax and consult with his manager and father to make a thoughtful decision about his next steps in his illustrious career.

As the reigning ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion, Chingiz Allazov's recent title defense showcased his exceptional skill and determination in the ring. His performance against formidable opponents continues to earn him recognition as one of the sport's finest, leaving fans eagerly awaiting his next move and the potential for more thrilling matches in the future.
