BRAVE Combat Federation is set to kick off its 2024 season with a double treat for MMA enthusiasts, confirming two events in Slovenia. In collaboration with the leading regional promotion WFC, BRAVE CF aims to deliver thrilling action on April 20 in Ljubljana, followed by another spectacular show on October 19.
The partnership between BRAVE CF and Slovenia has deep roots, dating back to early 2020. The inaugural collaboration led to the historic BRAVE CF 34 event in January, featuring standout performances from fighters like Benoit Saint-Denis, Zach Makovsky, and Phil Hawes. This marked the inception of BRAVE CF in the Slovenian MMA scene.
The momentum continued in 2023 with BRAVE CF 70 in Ljubljana, headlined by the debut of Erko Jun, who secured a memorable KO victory over local legend Marko Drmonjic. The event showcased an epic clash between Joilton Lutterbach and Andreas Gustafsson Berg, a contender for Fight of The Year at the upcoming 2023 BRAVE CF Awards.
BRAVE CF's commitment to nurturing European MMA talent is reinforced with the ongoing partnership with WFC. As the collaboration takes center stage, the platform provides aspiring fighters from the continent with the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of past European sensations like Ilia Topuria, Khamzat Chimaev, Benoit Saint-Denis, Muhammad Mokaev, and others who have thrived in the BRAVE CF Arena.
The expansion into Slovenia adds to BRAVE CF's European footprint, which saw returns to Serbia and Slovenia and debuts in France and Spain in the previous year. This brings the total count to 13 European nations, solidifying BRAVE CF's status as a global force in MMA.
To mark this exciting partnership and the forthcoming events, a press conference will be held at NEBO in Ljubljana on February 2nd. BRAVE CF president Mohammed Shahid and WFC president Zlatko Mahic will be in attendance to officially launch the collaboration and provide insights into the two action-packed events scheduled for Slovenia in 2024.
