The recent announcement of BRAVE Combat Federation's upcoming event in Africa has sent ripples of excitement through the continent's MMA community, as local fighters eagerly anticipate their chance to shine on home soil.

Set to take place on May 11, the event will mark BRAVE CF's debut in Mauritius and its fourth overall show in Africa, solidifying its reputation as the premier international promotion hosting events on the continent.

Mauritius will join South Africa and Morocco as the third African nation to host a BRAVE CF event, representing a significant milestone for African MMA and providing a platform for regional talents to showcase their skills on a global stage.

Among the fighters expressing keen interest in participating is Eliezer Kubanza from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo), who boasts an unblemished professional MMA record of 5-0. Kubanza, who has previously competed in Bahrain under the BRAVE CF banner, sees the event as an opportunity to represent his homeland and propel himself towards a shot at the world title.

"For me to fight in Africa under the BRAVE CF banner would be a dream come true," Kubanza remarked. "It's important to me to show my people that I am out there to make them proud. I have a very set plan towards the world title, and beating a big name in Africa will help immensely."

Zimbabwean fighter Nicholas Hwende is also eyeing a spot on the card, expressing his confidence in his abilities and his desire to challenge the reigning Bantamweight champion, Nkosi Ndebele.

"I know I can beat him," Hwende asserted. "To be crowned champion in Africa would be amazing. Give me anyone, and I will run through them."
