BRAVE Combat Federation is set to return to Bulgaria with BRAVE CF 97 on July 12, promising a high-octane night of mixed martial arts action in the coastal city of Burgas. The event is part of the promotion’s ongoing “Year of the BRAVE” campaign and marks its second appearance in Bulgaria, strengthening its reputation as the most prolific MMA organization in Europe.
The headline bout features Algeria’s Mohamed Said Maalem in his second main event on Bulgarian soil. Known for his relentless pressure and grit, Said Maalem will take on Bulgarian fan favorite Kaloyan Kolev in a pivotal Light Heavyweight showdown.
In the co-main event, rising Super Welterweight prospect Eliezer “King Kong” Kubanza faces seasoned veteran Jack Grant. The fight carries major title implications following Alex Lohoré’s recent rise in the division.
At Bantamweight, French standout Brice Picaud will square off against Georgia’s Lasha Abramishvili in a matchup that could determine the next challenger for champion Borislav Nikolić. Both fighters bring elite technique and an unyielding pace to the cage.
Also featured on the card is Gerard Burns, making his return to BRAVE CF with his trademark aggressive style. In the Strawweight division, Europe’s top female contenders, Songül Karatorak and Mim Grubb, are set for a tightly contested battle.
BRAVE CF 97 sets the stage for the promotion’s upcoming milestone 100th event and continues to position Bulgaria as a key hub in the global MMA scene.
