BRAVE Combat Federation has unveiled a blockbuster fight card for BRAVE CF 88, marking its return to Slovenia on September 28. The event, held in association with WFC, will be BRAVE CF's second appearance in Slovenia this year, following BRAVE CF 81. Featuring two title fights, the card represents one of the biggest events in European MMA, with fighters from 11 nations participating.
Main Event: Jun vs. Wesner for Light Heavyweight Title
In the main event, European MMA superstar Erko Jun will face German knockout artist Alexander Wesner for the vacant Light Heavyweight title. Jun secured his title shot after defeating Mohammed Said Maalem at BRAVE CF 81, while Wesner is riding a five-fight winning streak, remaining unbeaten since 2021.
Co-Main Event: Heavyweight Title Clash
The co-main event will feature a battle for the inaugural BRAVE CF Heavyweight championship between Pavel Dailidko and Azamat Nuftillaev. Dailidko enters the fight on a four-fight winning streak, with his latest victory coming against Valdrin Istrefi at BRAVE CF 81. Nuftillaev, boasting a three-fight winning streak, is eager to capture the historic title.
Slovenian Star Kučinič Returns
Slovenian standout Monika Kučinič will return to action after her victory at BRAVE CF 81. She faces Italy’s Fabiola Pidroni in a Strawweight bout, with both fighters aiming to make a strong statement.
Additional Notable Bouts
Heavyweight contenders Patryk Dubiela and Domen Drnovsek will look to continue their winning ways from BRAVE CF 81 as they take on Martin Batur and Kristjan Toniste, respectively. Luka Podkrajšek returns after a one-year absence to face Italian veteran Michele Mirabella, while Miha Frlic, on a two-fight winning streak, will battle Samuele Di Guardo.
The event will also feature an amateur Welterweight contest between undefeated Slovenian Kirill Negru and Tilen Bregant, as well as a Strawweight clash between Serbia’s Marina Spasič and Brazil’s Maristela Alves.
BRAVE CF Expands European Presence
BRAVE CF 88 will be the eighth event of the year for BRAVE Combat Federation and the second in Slovenia for 2024. It follows BRAVE CF 87 in the Netherlands and precedes BRAVE CF 89 in Spain on October 19, solidifying the promotion's status as a leader in European MMA.
