A landmark moment awaits African MMA as Nkosi Ndebele and Jose ‘Shorty’ Torres both successfully weighed in for their Bantamweight World Title clash, set to headline BRAVE CF 82 in Mauritius on May 11.
Champion Nkosi hit the mark at 61.15kg, just under the 61.2kg Bantamweight limit. Torres came in at 61.05kg, setting the stage for the first-ever trilogy in BRAVE Combat Federation history.
In the co-main event, Nicholas Hwende and Khurshed Nazarov both made weight for their Bantamweight showdown. Hwende weighed in at 61.4kg while Nazarov, making his promotional debut at BRAVE CF 82, hit 61.2kg.
The weigh-ins delivered a surprise as Karim Rabei tipped the scales at 82.85kg, nearly three kilograms over the 79.8kg limit for the Super Welterweight division. He will forfeit 30% of his purse due to missing weight, unlike his opponent Eliezer Kubanza, who weighed in at 79.1kg.
Additionally, debutants Ananias Mulumba and Prince Lolia of DR Congo made weight for their respective fights.

Mulumba, facing BRAVE CF veteran Ylies Djiroun, weighed in at 65.7kg. Djiroun tipped the scales at 66.1kg, confirming their Featherweight bout. Lolia and Ramazan Gitinov both weighed in below the Lightweight limit of 70.8kg, registering 69.8kg and 70.2kg, respectively.
BRAVE CF 82 marks the debut event of BRAVE Combat Federation in Mauritius and the organization’s fourth event on the African continent. Following a successful outing in Slovenia with BRAVE CF 81, this event marks the second on BRAVE CF’s calendar for the year.
