With just under 24 hours to BRAVE CF 62, the gauntlet has officially been thrown down in Kazakhstan! BRAVE Combat Federation - in association with Octagon League - will host its third event in the Central Asian nation and the intent and excitement on the faces of the sixteen BRAVE CF athletes could not be more visible with captivating staredowns on display at the ceremonial BRAVE CF 62 weigh-ins!

Making his debut for the fastest-growing mixed martial arts promotion in the world, it was clear that Kyrgyzstan’s Ilyor Bakhtiyar Uulu is keen on showing the BRAVE Nation what he is about when faces Saudi Arabia’s Abdullah Al-Qahtani in their Featherweight scrap.

The more experienced BRAVE CF campaigner, Al-Qahtani, cut a relaxed figure, while Bakhtiyar made his intentions known as he stepped right into his opponent’s personal space during their face-off, so much so that BRAVE CF officials had to intervene and stave off the hungry debutant before he quickly turned his back on his opponent, walking off stage while Al-Qahtani embraced the moment, soaking it all up and taking it in his stride.

In a beautiful display of diversity and culture, the second Featherweight staredown of the night, saw hometown hero Nurzhan Akishev and Pakistan’s Mehmosh Raza fly their respective country flags high during their ceremonial weigh-ins reminding those from around the world the global impact and symbolism BRAVE CF has holds.

As soon as both athletes got off the scales, it was back to business as neither backed down. Their staredown got so heated that BRAVE CF officials stepped a bit closer in anticipation of a complimentary “round one” ahead of tomorrow’s event. Both athletes, however, kept it professional and maintained composure, keeping the action for the big show!

Leading the BRAVE CF portion of the card, Lightweight elite, Kazakhstan’s Olzhas Eskaraev and the Philippines’ Rolando Dy reminded the viewers and those in attendance at the Almaty Arena why they’re tasked with headlining the card as they captured the attention of all with their on-stage presence. Without an utterance directed at each other, you could cut the tension with a knife, the moment became so intense that BRAVE CF commentator, Phil Campbell had to physically remind the two athletes to face the front.
