The 60th edition of BRAVE Combat Federation will take place on July 30th, and the fight card promises to thrill MMA fans all over the world. The presence of some of the best athletes from Brazil and the top Flyweights facing off in three unique battles, with its competitors being labelled "the Flyweight giants," make BRAVE CF 60 full of significance for the organization's future in addition to the calibre of the contests.
It's no secret that Brazil has provided BRAVE Combat Federation with a wealth of talent. The company has taken satisfaction in introducing the top performers from South America to the international stage, including Johnny Walker, Matheus Nicolau, and Luana Pinheiro. Brazil now has the most contingent in the history of the organisation with 79 fighters signed with BRAVE CF.
With BRAVE CF 60, ten Brazilian fighters who have competed internationally will face off against great athletes and previous world champions. Lucas "Mineiro" Martins, a legend of Brazilian mixed martial arts, will compete against rising star Henrique Marques in the main event in an effort to avenge himself.
Lucas' back is against the wall after his first three losses in his career. And he is eager to strike back and prove to the world that he is capable of competing at the highest levels.
Apart from Martins, two other former world champions from Brazil are competing under the BRAVE CF banner: Luan Santiago fights Mihail Cotruta in the co-main event, and Cleiton Silva fights former Super Lightweight title challenger Leonardo Mafra in an attempt to further his legacy in a new weight division.
Brazilian MMA is a small part of BRAVE CF 60, nevertheless. The Flyweights are poised to demonstrate to the world why this is the most underappreciated weight class in the sport. They are arguably the most stacked division on the organization's roster.
Fans will be able to watch three distinct 125-pound battles to marvel at the agility, precision, and overall technical prowess that only the smaller guys, the Flyweight Giants, can exhibit.
But his adversary is no coward. The seasoned Zach Makovsky, a world champion in both MMA and grappling, is seeking retribution. The Flyweight Tournament final, which will crown the inaugural BRAVE CF champion in the division, is where he believes he should have been.
Zach, who fell short in a close split decision against finalist Velimurad Alkhasov, will be fixated on Ali Bagautinov's matchup with Zach in the hopes of facing the victor. Better for Makovsky if Alkhasov wins, in that case.
On July 30, in the Kingdom of Bahrain, BRAVE CF 60 will take place. It will include the best action that BRAVE CF has to offer. From former world champions to upcoming Brazilian superstars, this list offers a glimpse into the past, present, and future of the flyweight category. The action won't be missed by any MMA fans.
