Ariane Lipski, born on January 26, 1994, is an MMA Fighter who has made a significant impact in the world of professional fighting.

Currently competing in the flyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), Lipski has showcased her skills and determination in her pursuit of excellence.

Early Career and Brazil

Born in Curitiba, Brazil, Lipski has Polish heritage, with her grandfather migrating to Brazil before the Second World War for security reasons. Her multicultural background adds depth and richness to her fighting style, reflecting a blend of Brazilian and Polish influences.

Lipski's martial arts journey began with her training in Muay Thai at a young age, eventually becoming the Brazilian Muay Thai champion. However, her ambitions extended beyond one discipline, leading her to make the transition to mixed martial arts (MMA). Lipski fought primarily in Brazil and Poland during the early stages of her MMA career, gaining recognition and experience under the Konfrontacja Sztuk Walki (KSW) promotion.

Competing in KSW

Her breakthrough came when she made her debut in KSW, where she faced Sheila Gaff at KSW 36. Lipski's impressive skills were on full display as she secured a first-round knockout victory, setting the stage for her future success. She then went on to face Diana Belbiţă for the KSW Women's Flyweight Championship at KSW 39: Colosseum, triumphing with an armbar submission in the first round. Continuing her dominance, Lipski successfully defended her title against Mariana Morais at KSW 40, winning via rear-naked choke in less than a minute of the first round. She further solidified her status as the champion by defeating Silvana Gómez Juárez at KSW 42, defending her title with a unanimous decision.

Signing with the UFC

With her impressive performances and championship success in KSW, Lipski caught the attention of the UFC and was subsequently signed by the organization. Her highly anticipated UFC debut was scheduled against Maryna Moroz at UFC Fight Night 140. However, Moroz withdrew from the bout due to injury, resulting in its cancellation.

Lipski's UFC debut eventually took place on January 19, 2019, against Joanne Calderwood at UFC Fight Night: Cejudo vs. Dillashaw. Despite her best efforts, she suffered a defeat by unanimous decision in a hard-fought battle. Her determination remained unwavering as she faced her second UFC fight against tough competition in June 2019, but once again fell short, losing by unanimous decision.

Throughout her UFC journey, Lipski has faced various hurdles, including opponent changes and weight discrepancies. However, she has persevered, showcasing her resilience and determination to overcome challenges. Notably, she secured a victory against newcomer Isabella de Padua at UFC Fight Night: Błachowicz vs. Jacaré, winning via unanimous decision after de Padua failed to make weight.

Fights in the UFC

Lipski's resilience and skill set her up for a remarkable comeback. She earned a well-deserved Performance of the Night award with a submission victory over Luana Carolina at UFC Fight Night 172. Despite a loss to Antonina Shevchenko at UFC 255, Lipski confirmed her fighting spirit by bouncing back and winning against Montana De La Rosa at UFC Fight Night: Rozenstruik vs. Sakai, displaying her submission prowess with a kneebar finish in the first round.

Continuing her journey, Lipski faced Mandy Böhm at UFC Fight Night 192, securing a unanimous decision victory after knocking Böhm down twice during the bout. Her relentless pursuit of success led her to face JJ Aldrich on March 11, 2023, at UFC Fight Night 221, where she emerged victorious with a unanimous decision.

Lipski's next challenge awaited as she faced Melissa Gatto on July 1, 2023, at UFC on ESPN 48 securing a split decision win.
