Alibeg Rasulov made a resounding debut in ONE Championship at ONE Fight Night 23, capturing a unanimous decision victory over former ONE Lightweight MMA World Champion Ok Rae Yoon in U.S. primetime on July 5. The Turkish fighter's performance was a testament to his skills, showcasing strong clinch work and close-range prowess that propelled him to victory at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Reflecting on his debut in the world's largest martial arts organization, Rasulov expressed gratitude and acknowledged the challenges he faced in his bout against Yoon. "First of all, I want to thank ONE Championship for the opportunity. It was a tough fight, but I’m happy with the win," Rasulov commented after the fight. "I believe I could have performed even better."

Despite his victory, Rasulov experienced a mix of emotions post-fight, especially regarding the missed opportunity to fight for the ONE Interim Lightweight MMA World Title due to technicalities with the official weigh-in window. However, he views this setback as a valuable learning experience as he continues to navigate the nuances of competing in ONE Championship.

"I will remain in this weight division and learn from this experience," Rasulov affirmed. "Competing under ONE Championship rules, including hydration testing, was new to me. I know I can improve, and I’m focused on that moving forward."

Having proven himself against a top contender like Yoon, Rasulov now sets his sights on championship gold in ONE Championship’s lightweight division. While acknowledging the potential of facing current champion Christian “The Warrior” Lee, Rasulov emphasized that his ultimate goal is to capture the belt, regardless of the opponent.

"My goal is the belt, not any particular fighter," Rasulov stated confidently. "I am prepared to face anyone holding the title, and I will work tirelessly to claim it."

Following his breakout performance at ONE Fight Night 23, Rasulov remains eager to build on his momentum and continue his ascent in ONE Championship. Despite the physical demands of his recent bout, Rasulov assured fans that he is in prime condition and ready for whatever challenge lies ahead in his promising career.
