Bellator MMA has a new Welterweight champion as Yaroslav Amosov dominated Douglas Lima in the main event of Bellator 260 to capture the title.
Hailing from Ukraine, Amosov remained undefeated and improved his professional record 26-0 with the win. He had a dominant showing throughout the fight and managed to outclass Lima to earn a 50-45, 49-46, 49-46 decision win. Amosov had been competing in Bellator since 2018 and had secured six wins in the promotion before getting his shot at Lima.
Lima, on the other hand, dropped to 32-9 in his professional career. This is his second straight loss as he had earlier suffered a defeat against Gegard Mousasi after securing wins over Rory MacDonald and Michael Page.
In the co-main event, Jason Jackson defeated Paul Daley via a unanimous decision when Aaron Pico submitted Aiden Lee. Pico’s win came via an Anaconda Choke in the third round.
