Tyson Fury hopes to see Vijender Singh become a World Champion

Tyson Fury has been in the news lately for his venture into the WWE and his recent announcement about a potential move to MMA. And now, amidst his busy schedule, the undefeated Heavyweight boxer has given the Indian Combat Sports fans something to cheer about.

During the Media Conference Call for his upcoming match against Braun Strowman at WWE Crown Jewel, Tyson Fury spoke highly of Indian Boxing star Vijender Singh. Fury also went on to add that he hopes to see Vijender become a world champion soon.

“It (boxing) is very big in India. You have a great boxer in Vijender Singh and I hope he can go on to win the World title,” Fury said.

Vijender, who is an Olympic Medal Winner, is undefeated in his career with a record of 11-0. Currently signed with Top Rank Boxing, Vijender is expected to make his return on November 22 in Dubai although his opponent has not been revealed yet.  As for Fury, the boxer also noted that he would love to come to India at some point or the other.

“I would love to come to India and fight there. Hopefully, it will happen in the future” he added.
