Vanlalawmpuia of India to fight Aekkawee Kaewmanee of Thailand in Thailand

Indian boxing star Vanlalawmpuia is all set to fight Aekkawee Kaewmanee of Thailand The Fighter: World Boxing Event in Thailand on 2 July 2022.

Hailing from Mizoram, Vanlalawmpuia is undefeated so far in his professional boxing career and holds a record of 3-0-1 to his name. He made his professional boxing debut back in 2021 against Ashish Sharma in Mumbai and went on to secure two more wins in the same year. He also fought to a draw against Sagar Chaudhary at the event hosted by Marine Pro Boxing Promotions.

The Mizo star is currently ranked first in his weight class as per BoxRec for India and will be looking to keep his undefeated record intact at the event.

Aekkawee Kaewmanee is one of the most experienced names in Thailand and holds a professional boxing record of 24-16 to his name. He is ranked fourth in Thailand at the moment for his weight class and has been competing in the professional boxing circuit since 2013. He has competed across the globe throughout his decade-long career which saw him compete in China, The Philippines, and Korea, among others.

The Thai fighter is currently on a two-fight losing streak at the moment and will be looking to bounce back strongly from this when he faces off against the Mizo Superstar. His last win came back in January, 2022 against Seksan Charoenkit in Thailand and Kaewmanee has 12 KO wins on his resume as well making him a dangerous opponent for the Indian.

The event is promoted by Marine Pro Boxing Promotions and TL Boxing Promotions and is supported by Bangkok Marriott Hotel Sukhumvit. It will be live on LPS PPV in India.
