UFC Vegas 14 has a new main event as Paul Felder will fight Rafael Dos Anjos. Felder took the fight on short notice after Islam Makhachev was forced to pull out of the main event clash with Dos Anjos due to an injury.

Interestingly, Felder had hinted at retirement following his split-decision defeat against Dan Hooker and had been busy as a commentator and an analyst for the UFC ever since. The fight against Dos Anjos will mark his return to the Octagon when Dos Anjos will be making his return to the Lightweight division following his run at Welterweight.

Dos Anjos, who had pushed for a showdown with Mike Chandler, thanked Felder for taking up the fight.

“We need more fighters like you @felderpaul thank you for take the fight and save the show.” He tweeted.

Felder also shared his respect towards Dos Anjos on Twitter and tweeted that the show must go on.

“The show must go on as they say! This man is a legend. These are the moments I will tell my grandkids about. Or when Aisling tries to bring home a boy! #mainevent,” Felder noted.

In the co-main event of UFC Vegas 14, explosive welterweight strikers will clash as Abdul Razak Al-Hassan meets Khaos Williams. What do you think of the new main event? Let us know in the comment section below.
