UFC 265 Results: Ciryl Gane wins UFC Interim Heavyweight Title, Jose Aldo wins

UFC returned with UFC 265 today and the event was headlined by the Interim UFC Heavyweight Title fight between Derrick Lewis and Ciryl Gane.

Gane had a dominant show in the main event as he sailed through the rounds comfortably to get his hands on the UFC Interim Heavyweight Title. Lewis was pushed to the back foot from the start itself and Gane was having a lot of success with his strikes. Gane then went on to finish the fight with a third-round TKO. 

Jose Aldo produced another great performance in the co-main event and outclassed Pedro Munhoz to take home a comfortable decision win. Aldo also managed to land a personal record-breaking significant strike count in the fight which is dominated throughout.

Vicente Luque picked up a huge win over Michael Chiesa. Luque submitted Chiesa in the first-round itself and called out UFC Welterweight champion Kamaru Usman.

In the main card opener, Song Yadong secured a split decision win over Casey Kenny. Tecia Torres continued her good run with a decision win over Angela Hill when Rafael Fiziev, Vince Morales, and Alonzo Menifield also picked up decision wins.

Karolina Kowalkiewicz suffered yet another defeat after being submitted by Jessica Penne in the preliminary card.
