UFC 255: Here are the complete results and post-fight quotes

UFC 255 is in the books and saw Deiveson Figueiredo and Valentina Shevchenko retaining their respective Flyweight title. Figueiredo got the better of Alex Perez with a first-round submission when Valentina Shevchenko defeated Jennifer Maia via a unanimous decision.

Post-Fight Quotes: Deiveson Figueiredo:

“Call me master of the wizards. I promised my master that I would do this, I told them that this would happen and this was exactly what I was going to do. So I trained for that and that’s exactly what happened.

We changed our stance because he never saw me kick in previous fights, but I knew that I could kick him, but he never had that on film. I want to face Brandon Moreno, Dana make this happen, that’s the fight that I want to happen.”

Valentina Shevchenko:

“I’m ready to fight anyone, I never pick my opponent. I’m ready for whoever they will put in front of me. I believe there should be one more fight between Jessica Andrade vs. Lauren Murphy, because Lauren Murphy, she did great to get where she is right now. Tim Means:

“The game plan worked, we had as good weight cut. We got here to get our hands raised, took the fight a little later than we what we were wanting, but I’m happy to get a good win. My coaches have put in a lot of time and effort with me, I’m happy to get this win for them and go back home in the win column.”

Katlyn Chookagian:

“I think it’s interesting for me right now because I feel like I’m Valentina’s gatekeeper a little bit, someone has to beat me to fight her so a lot of girls that are ready to fight her might not take a fight with me, so that’s why I was really happy with Cynthia. She accepted the fight with me, she didn’t have to, she could have taken an easier fight. She could have waited and fought Lauren Murphy and then won and then had an argument for the title shot. She took the fight with me and she knew it was a risk and now it derailed her title train.”

Paul Craig:

“It’s taken me four years to get to the top 15. Now I’ve set the goal of getting that title and I want to do it before 2021. That’s what I want, by the end of 2021, I would love to be fighting for that title and taking it off whoever’s got it. I see this title in my reach, maybe two or three fights, we look for guys like Johnny Walker, Cirkunov, those guys in that top 10 and then we’ll be looking at the top five. For that five-rounder, maybe Glover Teixeira, there’s loads of guys around there.”

Antonina Shevchenko:

“It was different in a good way. I actually liked it so much, because before we fought in Muay Thai, me and Valentina, same event, same night, but it was already some years since we fought together. This time, it was so united. Just support for each other every day, no one even thinking about complaining because if you complain, what would Valentina think? If Valentina complains, what would I think? So it was so supportive everything, atmosphere at training was just right, the atmosphere at home was just right.”
