The hype surrounding UFC 244 is at an all-time high and now, the event could see the attendance of the United States President Donald Trump. This is according to New York Time’s White House correspondent Annie Karni.

The event, which will see the showdown between Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal as the headliner, is scheduled to happen at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

“Trump is tentatively scheduled to go to NYC to attend an MMA event at Madison Square Garden on Sat night, per sources. Stay over at Trump Tower. Great news for traffic on NYC Marathon Sunday,” Annie noted on her Twitter account.

Trump is known for his interest in combat sports and has promoted both boxing and MMA in his past. Recently, a video of him attending a sports event and getting booed by the crowd went viral and it would be interesting to see how the MMA fans at Madison Square Garden would react to Trump if he decides to show up for the event.

While the case of Trump is not confirmed, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson has confirmed that he will be attending the event. Dwayne will also be putting on the BMF title on the winner of the Main Event between Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal.
