Indian Boxer Satish Kumar progressed into the quarter-finals of the Super Heavyweight Category at the Tokyo Olympics with a win over Ricardo Brown of Jamaica.

Satish started on a strong note and secured a clean sweep in the first round as all judges scored in favor of the Indian. Brown had some success in the opening minutes of the second round with his left hooks but ended up getting warned by the referee for using the side of the gloves.

The Jamaican then found some success with body shots as well before the referee stopped the fight due to a head butt. Satish also had some moments of his own in the round which gave him the round. With two rounds in his favor, Satish took the safe route in the third round and went in defense mode to sail through into a split decision win.
