Ritu Phogat match makes sense for Atomweight, says Tiffany Teo

Tiffany Teo secured a huge win at ONE: Heavy Hitters when she submitted Meng Bo. After the fight, the former ONE Strawweight title contender expressed her interest in fighting at Atomweight and called out the entire division.

Tiffany elaborated on the same during the post-fight media conference call and noted that Ritu Phogat is a matchup that makes sense at Atomweight. She also added that her grappling skills are pretty much on par with that of the Indian Tigress.

“I would love to [fight Ritu Phogat]. I think that would be a great matchup. I think we’re pretty much on par [in terms of grappling]. I think Ritu makes sense for now at atom weight. We both just got our win against the same girl so that should be fun,” Tiffany said.

Tiffany currently holds a professional record of 10-2 to her name with her only two losses coming up against reigning ONE Strawweight champion Xiong Jing Nan. The Singaporean holds victories over names like Ayaka Miura, Michelle Nicolini, Puja Tomar, and Rebecca Heintzman during her run in ONE Championship.

Ritu, on the other hand, is 7-2 in her professional MMA career and is coming off a loss against Stamp Fairtex in the ONE Atomweight Grand Prix. Prior to this, Ritu had defeated Meng Bo and Jenelyn Olsim in the Grand Prix.
