Surya Sagar and Basavesh are all set to lock horns for the Inaugural WBC Muay-Thai India Super Lightweight Title. The announcement was made by Fraggingmonk Promotions today through their social media pages.
Surya, who has been competing in Muay-Thai for a long time now, has also competed internationally having secured wins in Thailand. Basavesh, meanwhile, is a seasoned veteran who has plenty of experience to showcase on his resume across multiple disciplines. He has had an impressive run in MMA as well.
The fight will headline the Fraggingmonk Fight Night 2: Fight for Glory card which will also have WKN India title fights.
Rakesh and Kishor Gowda will fight for the WKN Bantamweight title when Poondhanam vs. Rajeev MP will happen at Middleweight. Sunil Raj vs. Prateek, Edukondal Rao vs. Samiran Gogoi, Ashwin Naidu vs. Sukeerth Kulal, and Prathap vs. Mintu Barman are the other WKN India title fights that will happen at the event.
Fraggingmonk Fight Night 2: Fight for Glory is scheduled to take place on 4 September 2021 in Bengaluru. The event was supposed to be held earlier but was postponed due to the pandemic. You can see the fight card for the event below.
