Supergirl focused on Ekaterina Vandaryeva, wants revenge for Wondergirl next

Supergirl Jaroonsak is all set to fight Ekaterina Vandaryeva in a strawweight Muay Thai bout at ONE: HEAVY HITTERS on January 14, 2022. The stakes for the fight are high and the 18-year-old believes that above factors like age and strength, her technique will come in handy in the fight.

“Her kicks are super fast and she looks quite stronger than I am, so I’m now trying to bulk up. Not everything depends on age and strength. There are things I can use to fight her, like my techniques,” Supergirl said in a recent interview with ONE Championship.

She made a memorable promotional debut at ONE: A NEW BREED II and recalling the fight, she noted that she was nervous at the start.

“I was so nervous in that fight, I didn’t really do what I thought [I should’ve]. Everything happened from muscle memory. Like when I grabbed her leg and punched her, I didn’t plan to do that. It happened automatically because once you’re punched, you punch back. When I won, I felt like it went so fast. I was so nervous, and it ended in just one minute. I didn’t even put my all in yet,” she added.

While her immediate focus is clearly on Ekaterina, Supergirl hopes to get revenge for her sister Wondergirl against Jackie Buntan.

“It’s Jackie [Buntan], no doubt, because I want to take revenge for [Wondergirl],” Supergirl said when asked about the fight that interests her.
