India’s Sunny Khatri is all set to have the biggest fight of his career this weekend as he fights ONE Pride MMA Strawweight Champion Gunawan in a non-title fight.

Sunny, who is one of the three Indian fighters that currently trains out of Bali MMA, will be looking to derail the three-year unbeaten streak of Gunawan at the ONE Pride Fight Night 34 which is scheduled to take place in Indonesia on December 14. Ahead of the fight, he noted in an exclusive statement that he is confident and excited at the same time.

“Well for me, every fight is big. Every fight is a learning experience. I'm confident and excited. Because I have worked so hard for this fight and I believe in my coaches, my team and training partners and most important I believe in myself,” he said.

And one thing that contributes to this confidence is the camp that he had at Bali MMA. He also said that he is already on weight for the fight, which is indeed something to cheer about.

“All the coaches are high level in their respective fields and my training partners, they all fight in big promotions like Brave CF, ONE FC among others.  And my fight camp went very good as well along with my weight cut. I'm already on weight,” he added.

Currently sitting on a two-fight winning streak, Sunny believes that the difference in the fight will be the pressure game that he brings to the cage.

“My strength is my pressure. I have worked on my every aspect, let it be striking, wrestling or ground. As the bell rings, I'm just gonna push forward,” he concluded.

With the possibility of a title shot and the biggest win of his career at stakes, Sunny will step into the cage to fight Gunawan on December 13 at the Tennis Indoor Stadium in Jakarta.
