Shinechagtga Promises Knockout Against Jhanlo Mark At ONE Fight Night 33

Mongolian striker Shinechagtga Zoltsetseg is confident he'll deliver a spectacular finish when he faces Team Lakay prospect Jhanlo Mark Sangiao in the opening bantamweight MMA bout of ONE Fight Night 33 on 12 July at Bangkok's Lumpinee Stadium.

The matchup carries significant implications for both fighters, who are looking to bounce back from disappointing defeats in their most recent outings.

For Sangiao, this represents his first fight in nearly two years after suffering his lone ONE Championship loss to Mongolian grappler Enkh-Orgil Baatarkhuu via submission in August 2023.

Now the 22-year-old Filipino faces another Mongolian opponent as he seeks redemption and attempts to get his promising career back on track.

Zoltsetseg, meanwhile, is coming off a second-round TKO loss to Kwon Won Il in January 2024, snapping a brief winning streak.

The 28-year-old Mongolian believes his well-rounded skill set gives him every advantage heading into this crucial bounce-back fight.

"I trained hard and put in a lot of effort for this fight against Mark, particularly focusing on my takedowns," Zoltsetseg said. "He has no advantages over me. My striking is superior, and my wrestling is also better. I can defeat him in both striking and wrestling."

The ONE Warrior Series contract winner is particularly confident in his striking ability, which has produced highlight-reel finishes throughout his career, including a 55-second knockout victory over Ma Jia Wen in 2020.

"If I touch him once, he is gonna go lights out. My boxing will be the answer. I am going to put him to sleep," Zoltsetseg said.

The Zorky MMA representative believes his previous struggles were due to injury concerns that have since been resolved, setting the stage for his best performance yet.

"I entered my last two fights with some injuries, which is why I couldn't push myself 100 per cent. Now, I am fully recovered. I am focused and gonna win this fight," he said.
