Soul of Warriors 1 Results: Bonjovi gets a decision win over Ishan Das

Soul of Warriors rolled out their first event on Sunday in Kolkata. The main event saw a clash between Ishan Das and Bonjovi which went in favour of Bonjovi via a decision after three rounds.

Ishan landed a takedown early in the first round but struggled to get a dominant position from the same as Bonjovi made most of it with his excellent grappling skills.

Bonjovi had the upper hand after this as he was pounding on Ishan from the top position. The second round started off with both fighters trying to land with their striking skills. The third round also started on the same note but the tides turned in favour of Bonjovi when the fight went to the ground. He had a dominant spell on the ground just like the first round and grinded Ishan to the end of the fight.

The co-main event saw Jagjeet Singh produce a highlight reel KO when he knocked out Alfan Mansoori. Both fighters were refraining from engaging for the intial few seconds but then they did start to land, it proved to be a quick finish.

The mid-card opened with the professional MMA showdown between Pavan and Jenus Laishram. The technical skills of both the fighters were on display from the start itself but the ground game of Pavan proved to be the difference when he submitted Jenus in the first round itself.

Krishna Kamat got a similar win in the second bout as he locked in the guillotine to submit Firoz Khan after spending some time in the clinch. The guillotine was the story for Monika Ghag vs. Ritika as well. Monika managed to get the submission in the first round itself and made quick work of her opponent.

Jasper and Kiran got to a wild start in their bout which was then slowed down later in the first round when the referee broke the fighters due to an apparent ground strike. Things, however, got back into the track when Kiran pounced into Jasper only to get finished with strikes.

Estesham made quick work of his opponent Imran as well when he managed to secure a first-round stoppage win. Vikas, fighting out of Delhi, got a win in the opening fight of the night after his opponent Sonu was not able to continue into the third round post the second-round break.
