Soul of Warriors 1: Bonjovi planning to put on a show for Kolkata fans

Soul of Warriors will roll out their first event this Sunday night in Kolkata and it will be headlined by the Flyweight showdown between Nongmaithem Bonjovi and Ishan Das.

Bonjovi, who secured a huge win against his Afghanistan opponent just last week in Haryana, will be looking to pile up on the momentum and continue his winning streak when he locks horns with Ishan, who is on an impressive run as well.

Fighting out of Manipur, Bonjovi is no stranger to fighting outside his home territory and he feels that fighting in Kolkata will be no different as well. He noted that he plans to make some fans in Kolkata with his performance.

Bonjovi: I know 98% of the MMA fans in Kolkata will be rooting for Ishan, but I don’t think they will any longer be fans of Ishan when I bring out the special moves in the fight as they might become fans of me.

The Manipur star is also adamant of the fact that Ishan is a good fighter but at the same time, says that he doesn’t care as all he is focussed about is to build up his professional record.

Bonjovi: Ishan is good. He is undefeated but I don’t care. He will just be a good matchup for me to build up my record this time.

While concluding, Bonjovi also thanked his coach, teammates and manager for fetching him the opportunity.
