India’s Roshan Mainam announced his ONE Championship entry in style as he secured a dominant submission win over Khon Sichan of Cambodia.

Roshan, who signed with EVOLVE MMA almost a year back, showcased some excellent skills on the ground to outclass his opponent that had a slight upperhand in the early stage as he had control over Roshan’s shoulder.

The Indian, who came in with tonnes of experience in wrestling, was able to turn the tides in his favour and managed to get on top of his opponent and this sequence soon helped him to secure an armbar and subsequently the win. With the win, Roshan has now cemented his place as one of the top young prospects from the nation.

With the win, he  has improved his MMA record to 4-2 as well.

Elsewhere, next week, Roshan’s teammate and former Commonwealth Games Medalist Ritu Phogat will be making her ONE Championship debut. A week later, India’s Rahul Raju will be fighting Ahmed Mujtaba at Edge of Greatness as well meaning that there is a lot to look forward to when it comes to Indians in ONE Championship.
