Rose Namajunas out, Carla Esparza to fight Danielle Kelly at Fury Grappling 3

UFC Strawweight champion Rose Namajunas is out of her much-anticipated showdown against Danielle Kelly at Fury Grappling 3. The announcement was made last day and it was revealed that Namajunas is out of the matchup due to COVID-19 protocols.

Interestingly, Carla Esparza, who is expected to be next in line to fight Rose Namajunas for the title in UFC, will be stepping in to replace Namajunas. Esparza will be locking horns with Kelly in the main event of the show which will be live on UFC Fight Pass on December 30.

The matchup between Namajunas and Kelly had attracted a lot of hype earlier and Kelly was the betting favorite heading into the match. The last-minute change to the card is expected to be a big blow for the fans but the replacement of Carla Esparza is bound to make matters interesting.
