ONE Atomweight Grand Prix: Angela Lee picks her choice of opponent for Ritu

The ONE Atomweight Grand Prix kicked off at ONE: Empower this past week and it delivered some exciting fights. Ritu Phogat, Seo Hee Ham, Itsuki Hirata, and Stamp Fairtex have moved into the semi-finals with wins in their respective quarter-finals as well.

With the quarter-final matches now in the books, the fans are eagerly waiting for the Semi-Final showdowns and voting is currently going on to decide the brackets.

ONE Atomweight World Champion Angela Lee pitched in on the voting during the Virtual Media Day Interview with ONE Championship and gave her take on what matches should happen next. She noted that she would like to see Ritu Phogat vs. Itsuki Hirata and Stamp Fairtex vs. Seo Hee Ham in the semi-finals.

“I would like to see Ritu and Itsuki, and Stamp and Seo Hee Ham,” she said.

Angela further went on to add that she sees Ritu Phogat and Stamp Fairtex in the finals of the ONE Atomweight Grand Prix.

“All of the matches were exciting. Who do I see in the finals? Maybe potentially Stamp [Fairtex] and Ritu [Phogat],” she added.

The reigning champion concluded that she will be moving to Strawweight after her title defense with the ONE Atomweight Grand Prix winner.

“After I face the winner of this Grand Prix, I’m going to move up to the strawweight division and whoever is the champion at that time, I’m hoping to challenge them and that’s one of my goals, to capture that strawweight belt,” she said.
