3 UFC vs. ONE Championship fights for Reinier De Ridder

Reinier De Ridder is hands down one of the most dominant names in ONE Championship at the moment. De Ridder is currently the reigning ONE Championship Middleweight and Light Heavyweight champion and at the same time, he holds a win over ONE Welterweight Champion Kiamrian Abbasov as well.

With that said, in our series of ONE vs. UFC fantasy matchups, we will be looking at three possible challenges for Reinier De Ridder from the UFC.

Israel Adesanya

Reinier De Ridder has already expressed his interest in a showdown with Adesanya. In fact, De Ridder noted that Adesanya would be an easy fight for him. Adesanya is currently the UFC Middleweight champion and had tested waters at Light Heavyweight as well. This would be a classic striker vs. grappler matchup which could go either way.

Robert Whittaker

Former UFC Middleweight champion Robert Whittaker would be an interesting matchup for The Dutchman. Whittaker has only lost to Israel Adesanya since 2014 which shows how dominant he has been in the UFC Middleweight division. Whittaker has a well-rounded game that could pose a challenge to De Ridder.  

Jon Jones

Jon Jones might’ve moved forward from the Light Heavyweight division but if a fantasy matchup between Jones and De Ridder happens at the weight class, it would be interesting to say the least. De Ridder’s grappling and takedown skills will be put to test against Jones.
