ONE Championship double champion Reinier De Ridder has big plans for 2022. The Dutchman will be making his return at ONE X later this month when he will be going up against Andre Galvao in a submission grappling match.

The match comes on the back of his recent victory over ONE Welterweight champion Kiamrian Abbasov and though Galvao is his focus, De Ridder has bigger plans going forward.

“So, choke out Galvao, that's one. Then finish Bigdash, maybe Malykhin and Bhullar, and then that's a wrap,” he said during his recent interview with SCMP MMA.

De Ridder has been vocal about getting a shot at the ONE Heavyweight title which would give him the opportunity to become a three-division champion in ONE Championship.

The 31-year-old is currently undefeated in MMA and ONE Championship and holds a professional record of 15-0 to his name. He had won the ONE Middleweight title and the ONE Light Heavyweight titles with victories over Aung La N Sang and had his first successful Middleweight title defense against Abbasov recently.

The quick turnaround against Andre Galvao is expected to be a huge challenge for De Ridder. ONE X will happen on March 26, 2022, in Singapore and will be headlined by the ONE Atomweight title showdown between Angela Lee and Stamp Fairtex.
