Will finish Malykhin and Bhullar in same night says Reinier De Ridder

After his successful Middleweight title defense at ONE: Full Circle, Reinier De Ridder has his eyes set on the Heavyweight division.

The Dutchman, who earlier called out ONE Heavyweight champion Arjan Bhullar, further noted that he can take out both the Heavyweight champion and Interim Heavyweight champion Anatoly Malykhin in the same night.

“I beat the welterweight champ, I beat the middleweight champ, I beat the light heavyweight champ – what’s next? Heavyweight guys, come on! Let me fight Malykhin. Let me fight Bhullar in the same night. I’ll finish these guys in the same night!,” he said during his post-fight interview after submitting Kiamrian Abbasov.

Reinier De Ridder is currently 15-0 in his professional MMA career and is 6-0 in ONE Championship. He started his ONE Championship journey back in 2019 with a win over Gilberto Galvao and improved on this with a win over Leandro Ataides.

The biggest wins in ONE Championship for Reinier De Ridder, however, came against Aung La N Sang. De Ridder secured back-to-back wins against Aung La which in turn made him the Middleweight Champion and the Light Heavyweight champion in the promotion.

Following these two wins, De Ridder had called out a long list of names but ended up getting ONE Welterweight champion Kiamrian Abbasov at ONE: Full Circle. The Dutchman finished the fight in the third round after a dominant performance and has now set his eyes on the Heavyweight division while also calling out Andre Galvao for a grappling match.

Interestingly, Galvao is a five-time BJJ World Champion and a six-time ADCC World Champion who also has experience in MMA having fought 7 times in the sport with a record of 5-2 to his name.
