Paige VanZant has signed with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship following the expiration of her UFC contract. BKFC announced the news on their social media platforms earlier today following an Instagram post by Paige.

The 26-year-old is 8-5 in her professional MMA career and apparently had multiple offers on her table including one from Bellator MMA. According to Ariel Helwani of ESPN, the contract that Paige has secured is a multi-fight, multi-million dollar one.

"I feel like I still have this stigma in MMA that I'm just a pretty face, and what a way to prove to be people that's not the way I see myself at all," VanZant noted in her interaction with Helwani.

BKFC was founded back in 2018 and has so far showcased 11 Pay-Per-View Cards. Earlier, BKFC has signed the likes of former UFC fighters Artem Lobov, Jason Knight, Hector Lombard, and Bec Rawlings among others.

Paige, meanwhile, is coming off a defeat against Amanda Ribas. She fought Ribas back on July 12 and was submitted in the first round. The signing of Paige is expected to be a huge boost for BKFC considering the star-power that she brings to the table. There are already rumours that BKFC could be looking to book a showdown between Paige and Bethe Correia, who was recently released by the UFC.
