Victoria Lee made her ONE Championship return against Victoria Souza today at ONE: REVOLUTION in Singapore.
The match started on a lively note with both fighters making their intentions clear. Lee landed a takedown midway through the first round after landing some shots on Souza. This put Souza on the defensive mode and the Brazilian ended up landing in a triangle choke that was perfectly set up by Lee. Lee, however, failed to find a finish as Souza survived till the bell. Lee came back with her dominance in the second round and finished the matchup with ground and pound to remain undefeated in her professional MMA career and ONE Championship.
Victoria Lee had made her professional MMA debut back in February 2021 and secured a win over Sunisa Srisan in her debut bout. She then followed this up with a victory over Luping Wang in July to improve her record to 2-0 ahead of her fight at ONE Revolution. Victoria Souza, meanwhile, came into the fight on the back of a 5-0 record having picked up her wins at Gladiator Combat Fight. She was making her promotional debut at ONE: Revolution.
ONE Revolution was the latest offering from ONE Championship after ONE: Empower which was an all-women fight card from the promotion. ONE Revolution was headlined by three title fights with Christian Lee defending his Lightweight World Title against Ok Rae Yoon when Capitan went up against Mehdi Zatout in a Bantamweight Kickboxing World Title Fight.
Joshua Pacio vs. Yosuke Saruta for the ONE Strawweight title was the third title fight on offer at the event which also had Martin Nguyen, Amir Aliakbari, Victoria Lee, and many others on the card.
After ONE Revolution, ONE will be returning with ONE: First Strike one October 15 which will feature a string of exciting kickboxing and Muay-Thai bouts. What are your thoughts on the result of the matchup? Let us know in the comment section of the article below.
