Maycee Barber names two fighters that can beat Valentina Shevchenko

Maycee Barber thinks there are two fighters out there in the UFC that can beat Valentina Shevchenko. Shevchenko has been reigning on top of the UFC Flyweight division for a long time now and has been unstoppable.

Shevchenko currently holds a record of 23-3 to her name and is on a 9-fight winning streak. She has not lost since 2017 but was pushed in her last fight against Taila Santos.

Maycee believes that Taila Santos has the best chance against Shevchenko in the Flyweight division while also adding that it would be interesting to see how Miesha Tate fighting Shevchenko would look like.

“I think the only person that would beat her is Taila Santos. Honestly, I haven’t seen anyone else emerge or be that great. Obviously, it would be really great to see how Miesha Tate does. And of course, I’m rooting for her because I’ve been a fan ever since the beginning, and she’s one of the legends of the sport. She’s one of the originals. So it’d be really cool to see her, not only have been fighting, but then also come back and be a mom and become champion,” Maycee said [h/t MMA News].

She further went on to add that it is going to require something special to take out Shevchenko. Maycee noted that she fancies her own chances against the champion.

“But it’s gonna take someone truly special and I honestly felt like Taila could’ve done. And if not, then I see myself doing it,” she added.

Maycee noted that she is hoping to become the youngest-ever champion in the UFC.
