BRAVE Combat Federation has a long list of top-ranking European fighters such as the #1 Welterweight and Pound for Pound in Nordic Europe Olli Santallhati, #1 Flyweight in Russia Ali Bagautinov, #1 Flyweight in France Michael Aljarouj and recently welcomed the first German mixed martial arts fighter into the promotion, Marcel Grabinski, who sits on the throne as the #1 Welterweight in Germany.

Grabinski lost his father at a young age, and was raised by his mother who he grew very fond of as a child and continues to be very close to till this day. She was an anchor of support throughout his sports journey starting with his early days as a football player. As he reached adolescence, Grabinski met Nordin Asrih, a pioneer of mixed martial arts in Germany and a prominent figure in the combat sports community, who noticed an abundance of untapped talent in the young Grabinski and took him under his wing as his foster father.

“We have a relationship like best friends,” says Grabinski about Asrih. “He showed me a lot of things that are important in private life. He is also my first trainer and taught me to walk in MMA.”

Asrih became Grabinski's head coach and has since been responsible for his development in MMA and one of his sparring partners. A strong knit relationship, Grabinski aims to continue Asrih’s mission to direct the global spotlight on German fighters.

"Germany has good fighters," says Grabinski. “I am the only German fighter in BRAVE CF and I will show the world, BRAVE and the people that Germany has good fighters. We are a small country but believe me, we have really really good fighters. I will show BRAVE that Germany is a good country for MMA."

Throughout his journey, Grabinski accumulated 27 professional fights under his belt and was the former two division national champion in Germany with 15 of his victories ending in a stoppage, 11 of which were knockouts. He made a bang in the local mixed martial arts scene garnering plenty of accolades throughout his rise within the combat sports community. His latest accomplishment however put him on the forefronts of German MMA as he defeated one of the top Super Lightweights in the BRAVE Combat Federation roster Issa Isakov for his promotional debut.

However, his latest fight against Lucas “Mineiro” Martins, the former BRAVE CF Lightweight World Champion and decorated Brazilian MMA fighter will mark the biggest challenge of his career. As for Martins, he has finally been given an opportunity to prove himself and make a statement about his skills, talents, and most importantly, not being too old or rusty to fight.

The Lightweight bout is set for BRAVE CF 51: The Future Is Here in association with Rukh Sport Management at the Falcon Club in Minsk, Belarus on June 4th, an event marking BRAVE CF’s 22nd country debut.
