X1 International will be returning to Nagaland this weekend with two fight cards. The first fight card will go down on December 6th at the Naga Solidarity Park in Kohima and will be headlined by a bantamweight showdown between Mairidin Newmai of The Combat Academy Nagaland and Lalnunsiama of MISMA, Mizoram.

With plenty of experience between Mairidin Newmai and Lalnunsiama, the main event promises to be a cracking fight. Ahead of the fight, Mairidin revealed in an exclusive statement that he is privileged to be headlining the fight card.

“I’m extremely excited and privileged to be headlining this card. I’m grateful to X1 for this opportunity. I see it as a reward for finishing all my fights inside the X1 cage,” he said.

The Nagaland based fighter also went on to add that he is confident of his preparations.

“We’re always training year round at TCA. The only difference during fight camps is that we start stressing more on our fitness and endurance. This camp has been no different, I’ve put in the hours. I’m confident in my preparation and like all my fights, I picture myself finishing him. Every fight is a new challenge and an opportunity for me to showcase my skills and grow as a martial artist and to be able to do this in front of my own people is nothing short of phenomenal,” he added.

While the fight between Mairidin and Lalnunsiama will serve as the main event, George Tokho vs. Jowkhum Singhpo will be the co-main event of the night. The second fight card of the weekend will be headlined by another exciting showdown featuring Tanish Gupta and Kekhrieneitso Angami.
