Crosstrain Fight Club’s Rachit Tyagi will be locking horns with Tribhuvan Issar of KOI Combat Academy in the opening bracket of Leverage Fight Night IX.
Rachit, who has an impressive resume to show off, sat down with Leverage Radio ahead of the event and opened up about a string of topics. During the interview, he noted that he has some unfinished business with Peeyush Pandey.
“The focus right now is on Tribhuvan Issar. I’ve never fought him before and then I’m looking forward to fighting Peeyush Pandey as there is some unfinished business there so I’m looking forward to that,” he said.
Rachit and Peeyush will have to win two matches each if they are to compete in the tournament with Rachit having the likes of Tribhuvan, Mohammed Bilal, and Sunny Khatri on his side of the bracket when Peeyush has Seth Rosario, Nihaal Joseph, and Sadique Qaiyum.
Rachit also went on to speak highly of the tournament and said that it will help to create more awareness about the sport in the country.
“Leverage Fight Night is a very unique tournament in India and I’m thankful for the organizers who put up all this together working day and night to make sure that the athletes are getting promoted as well as the sport. They are picking up athletes from different different cities in India which is going to create awareness about the sport all over India,” he said.
Leverage Fight Night IX will happen on December 18, 2020, and will be streamed on the Facebook page of Leverage Fight Night.
