Khamzat Chimaev gets his US Visa, potential fight date revealed

The much-awaited return of Khamzat Chimaev could happen soon. John Morgan from MMA Junkie confirmed the news with Ali Abdelaziz who noted that Khamzat has received his United States Visa.

The tweet also suggests that Khamzat could return as soon as September 19.

“It took some time, but Khamzat Chimaev (@KChimaev) has obtained his U.S. visa and may compete again as soon as Sept. 19. When confirming news with@AliAbdelaziz00, he thanked @danawhite for getting visa secured: Nothing is impossible to Dana White. He is the new James Bond.” The tweet from Morgan noted.

Khamzat is currently on a two-fight winning streak in the UFC has picked up two stoppages at the UFC Fight Island against John Phillips and Rhys McKee. As far as his career is concerned, he is yet to taste defeat in his eight-fight professional career and all of his wins have come via stoppages as well.

After his run in the Fight Island, Khamzat had called out a lot of big names and even had some friction with former UFC champion Conor McGregor. Now that the Visa situation is sorted, Khamzat is expected to be active considering that UFC holds its events from the Apex.
