The fight between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Max Holloway might have not happened in the real world but this past weekend, the two squared off in a Metaverse fight.

As part of the Legionfarm NFT launch, Khabib and Holloway fought in the Metaverse platform and saw Khabib playing Apollo Creed when Holloway was Ivan Drago. Khabib joined the fight from the AKA Gym when Holloway seemed to be comfortable as he joined from his home itself.

Khabib and Holloway were scheduled to fight back in UFC 223 but the fight did not go through as Holloway was not medically cleared. Khabib eventually went on to fight Al Laquinta at the event and secured a decision victory as well. Khabib fought three times after the event and secured wins over Conor McGregor, Dustin Poirier, and Justin Gaethje before announcing his retirement.

Max Holloway, on the other hand, is now on a two-fight winning streak and has only lost to reigning champion Alexander Volkanovski and Dustin Poirier since 2014.
