World’s First Khabib Gym set to open in Yas Island of Abu Dhabi

Yas Island of Abu Dhabi is all set to be home to World’s first Khabib Gym. The Island had earlier played host to UFC Fight Island events and now, with the Khabib Gym, it will cater training of different martial arts disciplines.

The gym is expected to open in the year 2022 and will be operating in West Yas Community under the partnership of former UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and Abu Dhabi-based Palms Sports

“We are taking our commitment to and promotion of mixed martial arts to a new level through this strategic alliance with Khabib Nurmagomedov. Our new gym will enrich the already stellar infrastructure for sports in Abu Dhabi and on Yas Island and further cement them as a destination and sponsor for local and international sport talents. We are honoured and privileged to be playing a key role in the execution of the visionary aspirations of our generous and great leaders in the UAE,” Fouad Darwish, CEO, Palms Sports told. The state-of-the-art gym will have its own MMA cage and will also feature internationally accredited instructors and trainers and will operate in an area of 1500 sq.m.

This new addition to our diverse portfolio of offerings will further enhance Yas Island’s position as a global destination for leisure, entertainment, and business,” Gurjit Singh, chief portfolio officer, Miral noted.
