Eagle FC has been a huge topic of discussion in the MMA community lately. Promoted by former UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, the promotion has made its mark on the United States soil and recently made headlines by signing Kevin Lee who was released from the UFC.
During his recent interview, Khabib also said that they are open to signing names like Tony Ferguson and Cody Garbrandt while also keeping the doors open for Brock Lesnar.

Despite the headlines that Eagle FC is making, former UFC champion Michael Bisping feels that the promotion might not be a threat to the UFC.
"I don't think he's going to be a threat to the UFC. I don't think any promotion is going to be a threat to UFC. You know I mean Khabib has a lot of financial backing, he has many powerful friends, he has a lot of money of his own honey, obviously massively respected in the MMA community. But going out there and threatening the UFC, No, I don't see that happening,” Bisping said (h/t Sportskeeda).
Previously named Gorilla Fighting Championship, the promotion was bought by Khabib back in 2020 and was rebranded as Eagle FC.
