2nd Kerala State Grappling Championship all set to happen on October 30

The 2nd Kerala State Grappling Championship is all set to happen on October 30, 2021, at the Gokulam Public School in Calicut, Kerala.

The event, which will serve as selections for the upcoming National Grappling Championship, will feature athletes from across the state of Kerala. Around 100 athletes are expected to compete at the one-day event which is supported by Kerala State Grappling Federation, International Olympic Committee, Grappling Federation of India, SGFI, Association of Indian Universities, Kempo, and will be sponsored by Deonex.

The competition will happen across multiple age categories and weight categories. The event will be held across two mats and you can see the complete categories based on mats below.

Mat 1:

  • U-18
  • U-20
  • U-35
  • Veterans

Mat 2:

  • U-11
  • U-13
  • U-15
  • U-17

The event will be led by Kerala State Grappling Federation President Binu Joseph and Kerala State Grappling Federation General Secretary Vishnu K along with the KSGF officials.
