Indian MMA Star Kantharaj Agasa recently signed with ONE Championship and he has already made his intentions clear. During his recent interview with ONE Championship, Kantharaj noted that his goal is to get his hands on the ONE Championship Flyweight title.

“My goal is to become the ONE Flyweight World Champion. I want to prove that an athlete from a small town with limited facilities can do great things with hard work,” he said during his interview with ONE Championship.

Kantharaj also noted that he is recovering fastly and added that he is confident of performing well in the ONE Championship Flyweight division.

“ONE’s flyweight division has so many great superstars. I have faith in myself that if I have a good training camp before a bout, I can beat anyone. I will be ready for whoever I get to fight. All I need is about two months’ worth of preparation so that I can analyze my opponent properly and make a game plan with the help of my team and coaches,” he added.

One interesting name in the Flyweight division is Demetrious Johnson and it is indeed a dream fight for Kantharaj irrespective of the result.

“I want to fight Demetrious Johnson. I want to compete against him and test my skills against him so that I know the difference between us. Winning against him would be like a dream come true. Even if I were to lose, it would be a valuable experience, which is so important for any young athlete,” he replied when asked about his dream fight.

Kantharaj has a professional record of 11-2 to his name and is expected to be back in the cage towards the end of this year after recovering from his shoulder injury.
