Joshua Pacio is riding high on a four-fight winning streak at the moment. The Team Lakay star successfully defended the ONE Strawweight title against Yosuke Saruta at ONE: Revolution and he is now awaiting his first contender for the year of 2022.
From the looks of it, Pacio might have to defend the title against either Jarred Brooks or Hiroba Minowa. Brooks and Minowa are set to compete against each other at ONE: Only the BRAVE on January 28, 2022 and the winner is likely to get a shot at Pacio.

Speaking to Manila Bulletin, Pacio said that as a champion, he needs to be ready for the next challenge every day.
“We’re on the top of the food chain. Our job is to level up every single day and that’s our goal,” Pacio said.
The Filipino MMA star further went on to add that he was not able to show his complete potential in his last fight.
“I could have shown more in my last outing. So for my next fight, I will show a more complete version of Joshua Pacio,” Pacio added.
Brooks heads into the fight with a win over Pacio’s teammate Lito Adiwang and has good momentum on his side. Despite this, Pacio believes that Minowa could pull off a victory in the later rounds.
