Team Lakay star Eduard Folayang would love to fight Conor Mcgregor

Team Lakay star Eduard Folayang might be going through a slow run in ONE Championship but he is still hands down one of the top names in the promotion. Currently holding a record of 22-12 to his name, the Filipino MMA star has inspired a generation of fighters in the country and he has no plans to slow down as well.

While he is preparing for a return to the ONE Circle, the former champion was recently quizzed about the UFC fighter that interests him most. Speaking to Manila Bulletin, Folayang revealed that he would love to fight Conor McGregor.

“I think style-wise, I will have a great match with Conor [McGregor]. He’s more of a striker, and for me, this will be an ideal clash. I want this to happen mainly because it will be a fascinating match between the two of us,” Folayang noted.

McGregor is currently going through a slow run himself in the UFC having suffered two back-to-back losses to Dustin Poirier. The Irishman has only won one fight since 2018 as well. Folayang, on the other hand, has been more active than McGregor having fought 10 times since 2018 with four wins as well.
