India gets clean sweep against Pakistan, all five Indian boxers secure wins

The Indian boxers had a memorable outing this past weekend in Dubai in the India vs. Pakistan card from Grassroot Boxing Promotions. All five Indian boxers secured wins against their Pakistan counterparts with two wins out of the five coming via knockouts as well.

Manipur’s Rebaldo Shaikhom started the day on a strong note for India when he secured a unanimous decision win over Mukhtiar Ahmed. Another upcoming star in the Indian boxing circuit, Laldingliana outclassed Muhammad Khan to make it 2-0 for the country.

Mizo boxing star and IBA Champion Nutlai Lalbiakkima shifted gears for the nation in the third fight and knocked out his opponent in the second round to make it 3-0. The face-off between Nutlai and Yameen had gained a lot of traction prior to the fight as it was a heated one.

Top-Ranked Faizan Anwar continued the dominance with a first-round KO win over Yameen Khan. Faizan remained undefeated with the win and is likely to cement his place on top of the rankings.

WBC Youth Champion Lalrinsanga Tlau completed the dominance with a decision win over Muhammad Abbasi and made it 5-0 for India on the card.
